Pushing the Limits of Motion

Wednesday, March 7 from 6 - 7:30 PM

What relationship do humans have with motion? We will explore how humans push the limits of motion with Oliver Sacks’ bestseller Musicophilia and Kari Zhe-Heimerman, Librarian of the Sciences at LeMoyne College.

Musicophilia investigates the power of music to move us, to heal and to haunt us. Oliver Sacks was a physician, a best-selling author, and a professor of neurology at the NYU School of Medicine. The New York Times has referred to him as “the poet laureate of medicine.”

Pushing the Limits is a reading, viewing, and discussion program for adults in communities served by rural libraries, made possible by a grant from the National Science Foundation.
